You Can Go Straight to Heck in Borderlands 3’s New Bloody Harvest Event

October is just around the corner, and that means that Halloween is approaching at the speed of light. As is the usual case, all of the year’s biggest games will start offering spooky, Halloween-based events or DLCs, and it looks like Borderlands 3 is one of the first to push into that territory this year. The first limited time in-game event goes by the name of “Bloody Harvest” and will include a new mission, new debuff, and – you guessed it – new guns.

Paul Sage, Borderland 3’s Creative Director, spent some time on the new Borderlands 3 show to talk about the event and some new hotfixes. We’ve included the video above for your viewing pleasure. If you’re wanted just the Shift Code for the golden key giveaway, then here it is:

You better hurry up and redeem it, though, as Sage claims it will only remain active for “about a week.”

Back to the point at hand, the Bloody Harvest event will be available to all players that have progressed through the game enough to leave Pandora and have access to Sanctuary III. You’ll have to be on the lookout for a Saurian named Maurice that will show up in the Sanctuary to guide you through season events in Borderlands 3.

In the new mission included with Bloody Harvest, you’ll run into various haunted foes that apply the Terror debuf to impair your vision and reduce your aiming capability. New anointed attachments can be used to reverse the effects of the terror debuf, though, so keep that in mind. There’s also a new boss that goes by the name Captain Haunt.

Bloody Harvest will hit Borderlands 3 sometime in late October and, apparently, we’re all going to Heck, as that’s what developers have decided to name the new Bloody Harvest Area. Things could get quite interesting, don’t you think?
