Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, updated his profile photo on Twitter to a photo of what appears to be the next generation Xbox Series X processor. Can we take this in confidence or is this just a teaser to keep us interested?
As we can see, the name “Project Scarlett” is written on the bottom right and 8K is written in the bottom left. Project Scarlet has long been rumored to be the internal name for the Xbox Series X and we know it will feature 8K video support as well.
With no official specs revealed outside of what we’ve covered in our guide on what we know about the Xbox Series X, we can only rely on Microsoft’s words about his 8k and the power increased by a factor of 4 compared to the Xbox One X. With an open view to the community, they revealed some “info” about the new console and that show the pride in their work.
