World of Warcraft Shodowlands, the eighth expansion enters the alpha testing phase, and some lucky players will get to chec it out for themsevles. From what we’ve been told, there isn’t a lot to explore, at least at the moment, but the testing phase is expected to see some expansion. At the moment, the test will be “ invite-only,” so the majority of the players will have to wait a little longer until they can try it ut for themselves.
Don’t be sad, as you’re not missing a lot. The game is still on early development, so there is not a lot of content. There will be more coming soon. At the moment, there is the starting zone, the Bastion, and the newest dungeon, The Necrotic Wake. We know what’s coming next:
- Tower of the Damned
This content should arrive in late April, with a lot more content coming in time for the Beta testing phase. If you miss the alpha session, you will get another chance as the beta tests will begin sometime in late may or early June.
Shadowlands promises a lot, and it better deliver. It looks like the team received community criticism with attention and care. There are some severe changes to legendary equipment, which will no longer drop, Instead, you will have to craft it, no more RNG moments hopefully. If you’re not invited to the alpha tests, and you like to screw around with different files, then you can take a look into the game files for “teasers” and new features that will enter the game, like mounts, new equipment, and maybe some new abilities – who knows what the new expansion will bring.
