After Blizzard nearly knocked the world off its axis at BlizzCon 2018 by announcing the mobile-only Diablo Immortal and leaving us in the dark about Diablo 4, Blizzcon 2019 could offer the relief we’ve all be waiting for. A new book called “The Art of Diablo” is set to launch on November 3rd, and an advertisement for that book in a German magazine Game Star, hints at Diablo four with the following phrase:
“contains artwork from “Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and Diablo 4.”
Adding additional hype to what could be shurugged off as a typo is the fact that the book is apparently co-authored by senior Blizzard writer Robert Brooks. And, a recent report from Kotaku indicates that insiders have said that Blizzard is planning to announce Diablo 4 at Blizzcon 2019.
This is certainly good news considering we’ve been waiting for Diablo 4 for several years and we honestly have more hope than ever that we’ll see it sooner than later. Blizzcon takes place this year on November 1st and 2nd in Anaheim, California and, if Diablo 4 is officially announced, we’ll get to experience a “gross” and “dark” art style that should be a welcomed change over the colorful look of Diablo 3, which didn’t exactly get the best reception from fans.
