Wasteland 3 is set to launch on May 19, 2020, but if you’re feeling the itch this early on, you’ll be able to scratch it – at least a little bit – with Wasteland Remastered. Originally launched in 1987, Wasteland Remastered sports revised graphics while at the same time retaining a lot of the original’s aesthetic. The best part? It launches on February 25, 2929 on PC, and Xbox One.
You've been asking, and now we can share…— Wasteland ☢️ (@Wasteland) 22 January 2020
Wasteland Remastered drops in just one more month—February 25 for Windows (Windows Store, Steam, GOG) and Xbox One (with Xbox Game Pass)! pic.twitter.com/qSCqITMRcq
If you’re a PC gamer, you’ll be able to get it via Steam, GOG, and the Windows Store. If you’re an Xbox player, it’ll be available via the digital store. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you’ll be able to get Wasteland Remastered for free as part of your subscription. If you’re curious about what kind of visual update you can expect from the Wasteland Remastered, just check out this tweet from Brian Fargo, Head of inXile Entertainment:
The Wasteland 1 remaster is still coming later this year for Windows but a little surprise is that we are also going to bring it to Xbox!— Brian Fargo (@BrianFargo) 12 June 2019

Hopefully this will help keep you on ice until Wasteland 3 launches in May. That game, by the way, is set to be a huge upgrade from the already amazing Wasteland 2. Once it launches, the man behind it all, the very same Brian Fargo that posted the tweet you see above, is said to hang up his hat. Perhaps a thanks for getting Wasteland 3 to the market before he departs is in order?
