Activision just rolled out Modern Warfare Season 3, and with it came updates to the free-to-play, battle royale spin-off Call of Duty Warzone. Part of that update to Warzone included removing Trios mode and replacing it with Quads, ultimately forcing players to team up with four people instead of three like everyone was used to. It didn’t take long for complaints to come rolling in and, just days after Season 3 kicks off, Activision and Infinity Ward have pushed a playlist update to bring Trios back to Warzone.
At first, it seemed as if Quads was going to complement Trios, but once fans realized what was really going on, the Warzone subreddit blew up. Now that Trios have been brought back, there’s a new thread that’s brought in over 1,100 comments and 95-percent upvotes, making it clear that people were, without a doubt, pissed.
If Trios and Quads still aren’t your thing, Infinity Ward is actively working on new options and has recently introduced a solos mode. Even better yet, a recent leak on the official Warzone page, of all places, hints that Duos is coming to the battle royale game as well, so unless you’re wanting to play in groups larger than four, the game will soon accommodate you regardless of how you want to play.
