This is What Changed to Fortnite with Season 2 Update V12.20

Fortnite just got a fresh update, but most of it is top secret. Fortunately, for you, we’ve got the right security clearance.

Season 2 isn’t exactly in the infancy stage anymore, and the March 17 Fortnite patch has finally been pushed. At one time, we’d have a full list of patch notes to show you, but these days Epic isn’t exactly disclosing everything that’s happening. In short, there have been a few gameplay changes, fresh skins, new emotes, and the battle between GHOST and SHADOW continues. Here’s what you need to know about Fortnite Patch V12.20

Little changes to the Season 2 map have taken place with patch V12.20, but if you’ve haven’t loaded up the game yet, you’ll notice that The Rig in the southwest corner is now covered in fog. Once you get there, you’ll find a big oil slick around it. So far, we haven’t noticed any difference in gameplay in the area, or what effect it will have int eh future, but if the oil spreads it could lead to something interesting. On that note, it could eventually catch fire and burn the The Rig, so that’s another possibility

Fortnite Patch V12.20 Skins – What’s New?

Epic has yet to announce any new skins, but data miners have found a decent selection, including blue liquid Slurp variants of outfits like Jonesey, Bandolette, and Leviathan. What’s more, there’s even a number of different spy costumes that are like tied into the leaked Spy Games. In Spy Games, there will be a new Operation: Dropzone TLM where you’ll use a Tech system to unlock perks and gadgets.

Were Any Fixes Made to Fortnite With Patch V12.20?

Epic, as is the usual case these days, didn’t announce what was fixed during Patch V12.20, but the Fortnite Trello Board came up with a list of fixes that you should probably know about:

  • Vault Banner missing from locker
  • Unable to return to Lobby, go to Item Shop, or report player at end of match
  • Player markers placed too far away
  • Players stuck inside Porta Potty
  • Buildings and structures appearing in low detail
  • Unable to resume auto-sprint on PS4
  • Unable to place trap if trap icon hasn’t finished loading

If we hear of any other official fixes via updates from Epic, we’ll be sure to update this list as they come in.
