Shortly after the turn of the decade, we got out first look at Godfall gameplay, but we learned just a day afterward that it not only was it old PC footage but it was also more than one year old. Now, along with the reveal of the PlayStation 5, we’ve gotten our first look at official PS5 gameplay, and holy crap is it amazing
As one of the first games announced for the PlayStation 5, we were expecting to see some real footage when the PS5 finally debuted, and sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. In the trailer (shown below), we got our first glimpse of the world Aperion on the precipice of ruin, and the music is on the same level of that as Doom Eternal – a very nice surprise, if I do say so myself. On top of that, we see a number of melee weapons and some pretty crazy abilites, both of which are used to hack your enemies to bits. And, let’s not forget the godly armor that you unlock as you go.
The best part is that you’ll be able to play Godfall solo or in co-op mode. Descriped as a “looter-slasher,” you’ll get to choose from five weapon classes and 12 total Valorplates that you’ll be able to mix and match to create your own versatile character. The official description of the game reads:
“You are the last of the Valorian knights, god-like warriors able to equip Valorplates, legendary armor sets that transform wielders into unstoppable masters of melee combat Tear through foes as you climb through each of the elemental realms and challenge the mad god, Macros who awaits you at the top.”
I don’t know about you, but I’m more excited for this game than I was to actually see the real PS5 console, and I was pretty hyped up for that too. After seeing the trailer, I’m filled with anticipation, and I just can’t wait to get my hands on the game. I’ll definitely be playing through this one more than once – you can bet your last dollar on that.
