The Last of Us 2 Is Pre-Loading, But You’ll Need 80GB of Free Space

Don’t let the “Ready to Start” alert fool you into thinking you can play before June 19th, though

The Last of Us 2 is officially launching on June 19th with next to zero chance of further delay or drama, and you can now pre-load it onto your PS4 so you can start playing as soon as it launches. If you bought a digital copy of the game that is, anyway. And, the most important thing you need to know right now is that it will take up 76.97 GB of storage space on your console.

Oddly enough, you’ll get an alert at 20.65 GB that the application is “ready to start,” but don’t be fooled into thinking that you’ll actually be able to start playing early. Unfortuantely, you’ll have to wait until June 19th like the rest of the world – outside of the lucky few that got an early copy for review purposes, of course. For now, you can start the pre-load and watch the trailer below if you haven’t seen it yet.
