As the launch of the Xbox Series X draws near, Microsoft has confirmed that most of the Xbox One family will soon be discontinued. It seems like an odd move considering most next-gen games will be backward compatible and is expected to serve as a gateway to Project xCloud, but the Xbox One S will remain while the standard Xbox One and One X bidding farewell. This was confirmed to The Verge by a Microsoft rep, who said the following:
“As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally.”
On top of this, a number of media outlets have reported that the SKU for the 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription is also being discontinued, leaving...

After two leaks that showed the Cyberpunk 2077 limited edition controller and the limited-edition console, Microsoft has finally made it official. The Cyberpunk 2077 limited edition console will, in fact, be the final limited-edition model of the Xbox One generation. As part of the official announcement, Microsoft went into detail of the new bundle and confirmed that only 45,000 examples of the Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X bundle will be available and only in select markets.
As you can see from the short video above, the console and controller are largely inspired by the game with distinct panels, some of which glow in the dark, and extra LEDs. There are even custom panels that you don’t see on the standard Xbox Series X. The bundle is scheduled to arrive in June with the limited-edition controller and a digital download for Cyberpunk 2077. Don’t get too...

Based on the Success of Xbox Game Pass for the Xbox One console, Microsoft is now offered an "Xbox PC Game Pass" which, at the current time, contains some 154 games from lighter indie games to premium games like Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. You get access to all of them during the current beta testing phase for just $4.99 per month. Word has it that pricing will increase to $10 per month should the program move past the beta phase, but it still sounds like a pretty great deal for access to so many PC games. The only downside is that this is a subscription model and Microsoft is free to remove any game at anytime but, so far, that hasn't been an issue for Xbox Game Pass for the console, so we doubt that'll be a problem here....
Sony has already given us hints as to what the PlayStation
5 will offer, but we’ve yet to hear much of anything from Microsoft
regarding the Xbox One. Of course, we’re pretty sure that it won’t have a disc
drive when you consider the fact that Microsoft
just launched the all-digital Xbox One S, but outside of that, there’s not
a lot that we actually know. However, now that Sony has gone on record, word
has it that Microsoft already has the PlayStation 4 beat – much like the Xbox
One X beats out the PlayStation 4 Pro in terms of power. Word comes by way of
gaming journalist Ainsley Bowden who claims that “multiple insiders” have
confirmed that the next-gen Xbox, aka “Anaconda,” will be more advanced.

Of course, he also went on to point out the obvious, which
is the fact that “next year is going to be AMAZING for fans of...
Rumors have been flying for a while that Microsoft was
planning an all-digital Xbox One – a measure that would fill the gap between
now and when next-gen consoles come to market. Now, Winfuture.de has managed to
obtain leaked retail images of the all-digital version of the Xbox One.

The box, as seen in the tweet here, looks like the regular
Xbox One S without the sleek slit on the left for the disc drive. Now, one
could argue that this is nothing more than a photoshopped box, and it could be,
but the box shown here, indicates that this particular model will include Minecraft,
Sea of Thieves, and Forza Horizon 3. The box art also indicates that it comes
with a 1 TB hard drive which, at this point, is good enough for 20 or so premium
games depending on the size of each.
We can’t help but point out that Xbox...
We just told you that Microsoft was planning to add
six new games to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service. That information
was based on a tweet but, sure enough, Microsoft followed through. Of the games
added, none of them are exceptionally special, however, if you’re a subscriber,
you’ll now have access to Resident Evil 5, so you’ll have something else to do
once you’re done tackling the remastered version of Resident Evil 2. This new
handful of games comes just a week after Minecraft was added to the library
and, while some of them aren’t worth writing home about, a couple of them are
at least worthy of your attention.
Resident Evil 5
While it’s probably the most recognizable game out of this
months addition of games, it’s not exactly the best game of the Resident Evil franchise.
Be that as it may, Resident Evil 5 was a pretty good hit when it came...
If you’re not aware of what Xbox Game Pass is, it’s a subscription
service that gives you access to a decent selection of games for just $10 per month,
but it’s only available for your Xbox One console for now. Right now, there’s
more than 100 games for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 (backward compatible, of
course) and a handful of indie games as well. Bigger titles include Fallout 4,
Crackdown 3, Gears of War 4, a bunch of Halo games, Just Cause 3, and Sea of
Thieves. You can even download Playunknown’s Battlegrounds as part of the
subscription as well. Now, it looks like Microsoft is getting ready to add six
new games to its library today if this cryptic tweet is to be believed:
https://twitter.com/XboxGamePass/status/1115374687444332544
It’s not like it’s been a long time since Microsoft has
added new games. Sea of Thieves, for instance, was actually launched via the
subscription service, giving subscribers...

Far Cry New Dawn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBWJynT6aPg
Far Cry New Dawn is Ubisoft’s surprise spin-off that follows
up Far Cry 5. In Essence, you’ll return to Hope County where you’ll experience
a re-imagined map in a time long after the events that took place in Far Cry 5.
For now, we assume that it’s basically a re-boot of Far Cry 5 with a new storyline, new antagonists, and slightly better
graphics. Like always, it’ll be an open-world, post-apocalyptic, first-person
shooter, so it’ll be fun either way. It’ll be available on PS4, Xbox One, and
PC and will go on sale on February 15th, 2019
Metro Exodus
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75reTxXD5SA
Metro Exodus is the third installment to the series based on
the Metro Books written by Dmitry Glukhovsky. It is, essentially a successor to
Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. Like Far Cry and Fallout, it’s set in a
post-apocalyptic world with the main focus of heading toward east Russia on a
mission to...
After it was announced that Metro Exodus would be released
through the Epic Games Store as opposed to Steam, PC gamers all over the world
went on digital strike. It took just minutes for bad reviews to start showing
up on steam as everyone tried to protest the change in release platform.
Boycotting of the game has been in full effect since, with Steam taking
hundreds of bad reviews for Metro Exodus. Not long after that, a 4A Games
developer that goes by the handle “scynet”
on gameru forums posted a rant in Russian that
included, among other things, a claim that if PC gamers boycott the game the
next in the series certainly won’t make it to the PC.
“But! Consider the situation deeper. Someone says that they
say they crap Exodus and the previous games in the series, it will make the
world better, they will put greedy developers in their place. To...
