There’s not a lot to see from the teaser, but there is a little bit to chew on, so it’s worth checking out the teaser that we’ve embedded below The countdown to #UbiForward is on! Get a sneak peek at what's coming and join the celebration live on July 12 pic.twitter.com/2rJ7nhKEt2— Ubisoft (@Ubisoft) July 3, 2020 The first image that you’ll see shows off the London Bridge with the word “Severe” displayed on each side. Enjoy A Free Weekend of The Crew 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKwcakh0miM If you enjoy racing games, and you’re looking for something new, maybe you should give The Crew 2 a chance. Now, I don’t say that Ubisoft is the best at making racing games - in fact, they aren't very good at it at all, but it did a decent job with The Crew 2. What’s interesting about the game is the ability to change your mode of transportation. For example, you can start driving a car, but if you feel like flying, you can easily change to an airplane and enjoy the view, which is always gorgeous. Besides flying on various resources or run freely around the city, you can try the motocross racecourses, whic are muddy and sometimes challenging. You can choose from a large variety of cars, too. There are plenty to choose from, so you should find something you like. Maybe you’re...

Get Your RPG On with Ubisoft’s Child of Light for Free

https://youtu.be/CYOfW-ae5sk We’re going back to 2014 when we first meet the 2D RPG know as Child of Light from Ubisoft. The game is set in a world of fantasy, where everything is trying to kill you. It is not as tricky as more modern RPGs, where dodging attacks can be a pain most of the time. If your expectations are too high, don’t bother downloading the game, but if you’re looking for a good, free time, then this game is for you. Patrick Plourde directed the game, and he also left his mark on the Assasin’s Creed 2 and the immortal Far Cry 3, so you can expect the best. He hasn’t failed to entertain us so far. The game will be available for free until April 11th, so you have plenty of time to decide if it’s worth playing it, but for a free game,...

The Division 2 Could Be Living on Borrowed Time…Sort Of

After a fairly rough launch, Ubisoft is doing everything it can to entice players to come back to The Division 2. Its price has downright plummeted in recent weeks, and the new expansion is massive, but how much further Ubisoft is willing to go seems to be set in stone. The company will continue to improve on the game, but it has no plans to port it over to the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. In an interview with The Daily Star, Yannick Banchereau – the Associate Creative Director of The Division 2 – said that “the team is not looking at porting it to new platforms.” “What I can tell you is that we are not making a specific version for those for those consoles, we are very much focused on just working on what we have now and making that as good as possible.” So what does...

Ubisoft has Five Major Games Coming in the Next Year, None of Which Are Beyond Good and Evil 2

Ubisoft is in a bit of a crunch after the launch of Ghost Recon Breakpoint and The Division 2 failed hard last year. It even delayed a handful of major releases, including Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters. At the time, it was said that the games were delayed so that the teams responsible “would have more development time to ensure that their respective innovations are perfectly implemented so as to deliver optimal experiences for players.” Which pretty much means that finances were an issue thanks to the failures mentioned above and things had to be scaled back, but that’s a discussion for another time. All we knew at the time was that all three new games would be moved to the company’s 2020-21 fiscal year, which starts on April 1st. During a Q3 investors call earlier today, CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that all three games are on track, and two...

Ubisoft Servers Got Hit Hard After Assassin’s Creed Unity Giveaway

We just brought you news about Ubisoft’s €500,000 donation to the reconstruction of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. But, that wasn’t the only important news as, outside of the fact that Assassin’s Creed Unity actually featured an incredibly accurate digital reconstruction of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, Ubisoft decided to offer it up for free so that everyone has a chance to explore the Cathedral as it was originally built. Well, as it turns out, so many people took Ubisoft up on their offer that hosting server for the five-year-old game was so overwhelmed that Ubisoft had no choice but to upgrade it. The servers were taken down early April 19th and were down for a few hours to upgrade that server capacity. The upgrade to the server took place at 7AM UTC but has finally wrapped up now, so if you’re looking to start playing today, you should be good to go. If you haven’t had a chance to...

Tired of Waiting For a New Splinter Cell? Ubisoft Has a Good Reason

Let’s not beat around the bush – It’s been way too long since we’ve seen Sam Fisher. After all, Splinter Cell: Blacklist was launched way back in 2013, some six years ago, and we haven’t heard anything about the game since. Well, Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, has finally spoken about why we’ve waited and will continue to wait in an interview with IGN. To put it simply, Ubisoft won’t bring back the Splinter Cell franchise until it can do something novel with it. To go along with that little tidbit of information, he also confided in the outlet that development teams were literally getting too anxious to work on a new Splinter Cell game because of the overbearing pressure from fans across the globe. And, third, Ubisoft is afraid that a new Splinter Cell game could, in fact, steal the limelight from franchises like Assassin’s Creed which, as Guillemot put it, are “taking off.” “When...
