Between game delays due to various reasons and gaming events
being canceled due to the Coronavirus, it’s been a rough few months for the
gaming industry. As an example, Cyberpunk
2077 was delayed until at least December and its multiplayer could be at least
a year away. This delay, however, comes with a silver lining, as CD Projekt
Red has announced that a new entry to The Witcher series will be coming, with
development starting later in 2020 once Cyberpunk 2077 finally launches.
Word comes directly from Adam
Kiciński, the President of CD Projekt Red. He told Polish journalists from Gamesradar
that a “relatively clear concept” was already established for the next Witcher
game and work on it would start “immediately” after Cyberpunk 2077 is released.
That’s really good news considering the last game in the series,
The Witch 3: Wild Hunt was launched back in 2015. It has been a smash hit, raking
in sales numbers that go beyond the 20 million mark, but after 5 years,...
CD Projekt’s value has grown to over $8 billion in just a few months (previously, their value was $6.8 billion). If you’re wondering what’s the secret: the Netflix series adaption of The Witcher is responsible for the market explosion. There we’re a high number of sales before the series, no doubt, but Steam recorded $50 million in sales from the Witcher 3, and a lot of that money goes to CD Projekt’s wallet.
The popular Netflix series has increased incomes with 500%. The credit shouldn’t go all to the series as the Nintendo Wwitch port of The Witcher 3 also played a big role here.. Cyberpunk 2077 is a maybe; we don’t know the income that the upcoming game has or will bring to the company, but something tells us that it's going to be a major success.
In case you’re wondering who’s the number one on the ladder: is Ubisoft Entertainment's French Division with a value of $9.6 billion.
Time to take Gerald home, and I am not talking about the basic fighter figurine. We're talking about Gerald in a much more relaxing situation, with no worries and Mr. Ducky beside him. That's right, We're talking about a miniature tub with The Witcher in the middle.
Dream no more, as you can purchase it via Amazon for only $59($20 cheaper than usual.) For a single-player game, it still proves worthy after selling over 40 million copies in the entire world. The game focuses on action, fights with magical creatures, and horrifying monsters. The game is an action role-playing game in which you take control over the witcher, Gerald of Rivia, a monster hunter that impersonated players by taking a bath, so let’s not even talk about the fighting, magic, and story.
The world that you explore is finely detailed and rewards the player for just simply “taking a walk” with many encounters, from which hopefully you will come out victorious. With over 57 missions,...
Sideshow is a company that specializes in limited edition
statues, film prop replicas, and articulated figures, among other things. The
company has now partnered with CD Projekt Red and, as we expected, there’s a
whole lineup of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 collectibles in the works.
Official word comes via Sideshow’s webpage with a listing that says:
“Sideshow is excited to announce that Cyberpunk 2077 license and collectibles will be coming in the future! Stay tuned – RSVP for more updates!”
A separate, but almost identical announcement has been
posted for The Witcher 3 as well.
This is actually great news because Sideshow does some
pretty awesome work. Over the past few years, the company has created replicas
and figurines for Star Wars, Marvel, and Assassin’s Creed. And, while the
craftmanship is out of this world, so is the price. As an example, a 1:4 scale
figuring of Animus Ezio from Assassin’s Creed set us back more than $600....
