Borderlands 3’s Main Story is Much Longer Than You Probably Expected

Some journalists are already getting hands-on experience with Borderlands 3, and the reviews are surprisingly positive. The most interesting part about it, however, is the overall length and depth of gameplay. According to PC Gamer, their three-hour gameplay excursion was actually only a small part of the game. As it turns out, Paul Sage, Borderlands 3 Creative Director, the main quest for Borderlands 3 will last at least “10 times that” or at least 30 hours. And, that doesn’t include going the side missions, looting, and other fun things to do in the game. "If you beeline it through, and I mean beelining it through, it might take you 30 hours to complete the main story," Sage said.  This is good news because that means that Borderlands 3 is right on par with Borderlands 2. That game could be completed in 31 hours if you didn’t stop to explore anything, but most people put in some 120+...

Ubisoft’s Bug Hunter Program Could Give You Big Rewards in Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft reveals its plans to reward players who help them maintain their game. As of yesterday, the developer/publisher of Rainbow Six Siege has launched its Bug Hunter Program, an undertaking “that has been designed to reward all those dedicated players that help us to improve the game’s health with every new update.” Rainbow Six Siege is quite well known in the gaming community for bouncing back after a particularly rough launch. In its earlier days, it was plagued with hundreds of bugs, some of which were game-breaking. Thanks to a dedicated community, and with more than a little help from its developers, it managed to rise from the ashes and is now one of Ubisoft’s best titles. In a move to bolster its efforts tackling game issues, Ubisoft has launched R6Fix just last year, which is a community of sorts that identifies bugs and other issues. Since its inception, R6Fix has received over 7,000 bug...

Lara Croft Won’t Fade Into Oblivion as More Tomb Raider Games Are Probably Coming

The Tomb Raider Trilogy that kicked of in 2013 with “Tomb Raider” is coming to a close as Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the last installment of the trilogy, is set to receive its final DLC expansion later this April. With that said, the future of our beloved Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise has been called into question, but you can now rest easy. In an interview with USGamer, producer Jonathan Dahan claimed that he would be “extremely surprised” if Shadow of the Tomb Raider actually marked the end of the Tomb Raider franchise. "I'd be extremely surprised if we didn't see more of it. We're not able to say anything about what's happening next, but I'd be very surprised if we didn't hear more about the franchise.” With that in mind, the question of whether or not we will see another Tomb Raider game isn’t answered with an “if” but...

Borderlands 3 May Support PC and Console Crossplay

Console crossplay is something that we’ve dreamed of for years but rarely (in the grand scheme of things) actually get the chance to enjoy. If your buddy has a PS4 and you have an Xbox One, for example, there are a lot of games that you can’t play online with each other. The same thing goes for PC gamers with console-addicted friends that just don’t want to sink the money into a good gaming build. When it comes to Borderlands 3, however, crossplay could actually happen, so whether you’re on a PC, Xbox, or PS4, you’ll be able to play with all your friends. Well, maybe. Discussion about whether or not Borderlands 3 will support crossplay has been taking place far and wide, just like you can see here on Resetera.  Needless to say, everyone wants it. Well, GameSpot finally decided to reach out to 2K Games with the big question and, while it didn’t get...

Bethesda is Adding Pay-to-Win Items to Fallout 76 and Fans Are Pissed

As if Fallout 76 isn’t considered one of the worst fallout games to date – seriously, even if you like it, a lot of people don’t – Bethesda is now adding pay-to-win items to the atomic shop. I’m talking about, of course, the new Repair Kit feature that is being launched with Patch 8. According to Bethesda, there will be two different types of kits: a basic kit and an improved kit. But, how does this fall into the pay-to-win scenario? After all, Bethesda assured us that Fallout 76 wouldn't include pay-to-win items, right? Well, according to Bethesda, the “Improved Repair Kits” are rare items that Bethesda plans to award as you take on various types on in-game content. Basic Repair Kits, on the other hand, will be unlockable in the atomic store using atoms that you’ve earned while completing in-game challenges or that you’ve purchased. And, there it is – “atoms...

Since the Tidal Basin Update, It’s Nearly Impossible to Find Signature Weapons Ammo in The Division 2

The Tidal Basin update for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was launched just a couple of days ago, and there’s already a serious bug that’s making rounds. Apparently, most players are having a hard time finding ammo for signature weapons while some players can’t find any ammo at all. The bug seems to be affecting all specializations for now, but Ubisoft is reportedly looking into the problem. https://twitter.com/TheDivisionGame/status/1114333611229106177 Reports have been sent out across the usual channels, namely Twitter and Reddit, with some players claiming that they haven’t found any signature weapons ammo after hours of play. For now, the only workaround we know of is to go back to the White House, switch specializations, then swap back and that should refill your specialized weapon ammo. Yeah, it’s a real pain in the ass, but it’s the best you can do for now. If you’re not sure of everything that came with the Tidal Basin update for The...

Don’t Expect to be a Loot Ninja in Borderlands 3

In Borderlands 2, one of the worst parts about playing co-op (to some, anyway) was being forced to fight over loot after every firefight. If you got there first, you get your pick, leaving those that weren’t as close left to scavenge through anything you didn’t want. Scott Kester, the Art Director for Gearbox Software, has said that won’t be an issue with Borderlands 3 as players will now separate loot after each firefight. So, in other words, you won’t have to rush to get there first if a good gun is dropped – you’ll be able to pick up your loot when you feel like it so, you know, take your time. That’s not all Kester said in his recent PlayStation blog post, and it gets even better. When Borderlands 3 is released, it will be more flexible about people you can team up with in co-op. So, even if you’re slow to...

Borderlands 3 September Release Date Confirmed; Will be an Epic Store Exclusive on PC

Despite the reveal-trailer theories that Borderlands 3 could be released on October 1st, Gearbox Software and 2K Games have confirmed, as expected after that leaked tweet, that Borderlands 3 will be released on September 13, 2019. It will be available to play on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC but, what some feared from the very beginning, PC versions of the game will only be available through the Epic Game Store for the time being. It will reside next to a long list of Epic exclusive games that include The Division 2, the Quantic Dreams games, Control, and even Metro Exodus. If you’re someone who’s largely against the Epic Games store, 2K Games has said that by April 2020, “the game will be available on additional digital storefronts.” What We Know About Borderlands 3 We have learned more than the Epic Store exclusive status and the official release date, though, including the fact that it will...
