Xbox and PlayStation Controller Support In Development for World of Warcraft

A dataminer named Martin Benjamins was datamining World of Warcraft Shadowlands code, and stumbled across game pad bindings for PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5. Things escalated quickly from that as it was a strong hint that Blizzard could be working on porting WoW over to PlayStation consoles. Unfortunately, these rumors were shot down quickly, but there is major significance to these game pad bindings and it could change the way you play Wow forever. Once word about the game pad bindings went live on Blizzard’s World of Warcraft forums, community manager, Randy “Kaivax” Jordan, stepped in to clarify just what these mysterious codes represent. In short, the studios has an ongoing project in which it experiments with controller support for the Shadowlands expansion. “For a long time, we’ve seen a small number of players turn to 3rd party addons, such as Console Port 17, in order...

The Pope: Power and Sin – Play as Pope Alexander VI

https://youtu.be/aOtZYuJzyUA Let us introduce a new game know as “The Pope: Power & Sin,” a new simulation from Forestlight Games and PlayWay, the latter of which specializes in publishing anything simulation from Uboat simulators to various mechanic simulators and even a game known as “I am Jesus Christ.” Yeah, seriously, that game does really exist. And, now that The Pope: Power and Sin has been announced, you’ll soon be able to play as Pope Alexander VI, also known as Rodrigo de Borja – one of the, if not the, most controversial pope in the history of the Catholic church. Instead of trying to describe it to you, we’ll let the developers do that themselves. Here’s how the game is described on the current Steam page: “The Pope: Power & Sin is a game inspired by the life of Rodrigo de Borja, who served as the pope in...

Gears Tactics Is Apparently Right on Track For Launch This Month

https://youtu.be/WENurEOb9pE Despite the numerous game delays, all of which we can pay thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak, it looks like Gears Tactics is right on track to launch for PC on April 28. Word comes directly from Microsoft, who claims that the PC version of the game has “gone gold,” which means it’s done and ready to be shipped. So, that’s good news for the PC gamers of the world. As far as the Xbox version of the game, we still have to wait a little while for that. Gears Tactics is being built as a “PC-first experience” that’s designed specifically for mouse-and-keyboard play, so more work is needed for the console port. It’s expected to launch for Xbox sometime later on in 2020, and so far, it appears to be on track as well as we haven’t heard any negative news in that regard. For the...

Half-Life Alyx: How to Teach Math in a Video Game

https://youtu.be/_T2-9MwA5JI With most of the world under quarantine many schools are closed, so teachers are looking for new and creative ways to do their job from home while keeping their students engaged. This is, in general, nothing new, but it goes without saying that the way to teach your class is how you make a difference. And, we have no choice put to give props to a 7th grade math teacher out of San Diego. Video sessions are old, but how about lessons in Half-Life: Alyx?  Charles Coomber, a math teaher that lives in San Diego, took teaching to another level using Half-Life Alyx as a catalyst for expelling knowledge. To keep his students from 7th grade up do date, he recorded a geometry class inside the newly released Half-Life Alyx, using some glass panels and imagination. After a brief presentation of "his home," we got...

Get Your RPG On with Ubisoft’s Child of Light for Free

https://youtu.be/CYOfW-ae5sk We’re going back to 2014 when we first meet the 2D RPG know as Child of Light from Ubisoft. The game is set in a world of fantasy, where everything is trying to kill you. It is not as tricky as more modern RPGs, where dodging attacks can be a pain most of the time. If your expectations are too high, don’t bother downloading the game, but if you’re looking for a good, free time, then this game is for you. Patrick Plourde directed the game, and he also left his mark on the Assasin’s Creed 2 and the immortal Far Cry 3, so you can expect the best. He hasn’t failed to entertain us so far. The game will be available for free until April 11th, so you have plenty of time to decide if it’s worth playing it, but for a free game,...

GTA 4: Complete Edition Now Available on Steam Sans Multiplayer

Following an announcement last month from Rockstar, Grant Theft Auto is once again on Steam. If you’re wondering why it was gone in the first place, the Games for Windows Live was removed, which means no online multiplayer whatsoever. To compensate for its absence, players that bought Grand Theft Auto 4 or Liberty City Stories now have access to the Complete Edition, which is composed of all DLC packs and the base game. The other version has been completely removed and is no longer playable, but if you want to start from where you left, you can load your saves from the previous version of the game - the files will be compatible in the most cases. There is bad news coming for multiplayer players. You won’t be able to join any more multiplayer games. The multiplayer mode has been removed so all you're left...

Medieval Engineers Has Failed; Players Are Pissed

It's been a while since Keen Software House has added something new to Medieval Engineers.  Over time, players have decided that the game isn't what they expected, and the negative reviews started to grow to the average level of "overwhelmingly negative."   There is some positive feedback, but 20% isn't enough to create the right image. These reviews are fresh. The last 30 days weren't so good for the medieval game. The feedback wasn't ignored; a response has quickly come on March 17th from Keen Software. The game is officially leaving early access, and anyone that purchased the base version of the game will be upgraded for free. The explanation is simple, but not necessarily a rightious one. Apparently, the team started working on other games and the Xbox One port of Space Engineers, which has drained all other resources. In a statement, Keen Games...

Horizon Zero Dawn Will Officially Have Ultrawide Support

Horizon Zero Dawn has been around on console for a little while now, but the port to PC isn’t set to arrive until sometime in Summer of 2020. Now, the game’s Steam page is hosting a new ultrawide screenshot (3440x1440) hidden among other screens with the “Captured from PlayStation 4 Pro” watermark. A little further down in the forums, Guerilla Games’ Community Manager, Anne van der Zaden, has confirmed that the ultrawide screenshot was indeed from the early testing phase of the PC port. We’ve also learned that it will have Steam achievements, but there’s no word on cloud support quite yet – probably because it’s a rather minor detail in the PC port. However, we can expect more details to come in the next month or two as the PC launch nears closer.
