Hitman 3 Is Landing on Nintendo Switch, But There’s a Catch

During The recent Nintendo Direct Mini October Showcase, it was revealed that Hitman 3 – Cloud Version would be landing on the Nintendo switch. However, the downside is that you’ll need to be connected to the internet to actually play. The trailer you see below, shows Hitman 47 leaping from an aircraft and then scaling up a skyscraper. Obviously, the graphics are intense and a little beyond the Switch’s paygrade, which is why you’ll see the disclaimer at the end, reading “uses cloud streaming technology.” https://youtu.be/mOLeJYC4gO4 So, you better hope you have a stable and permanent internet connection. To help you decide whether or not your internet is worthy, Nintendo and IO Interactive are offering a free launcher application that’s “required to test the game for a limited about of time” before you’re able to actually purchase the game. How all of this will work is still...

Porting Xbox Exclusives to Nintendo Switch Is Probably Short-lived

Nintendo and Xbox have a pretty good relationship – much better than Xbox’s relationship with Sony, anyway. That relationship is why some Microsoft exclusives, like Ori and the Will of the Wisps launched on Switch. Porting Xbox games over to the Nintendo Switch seems like an awesome idea, especially since Nintendo doesn’t seem keen on allowing game streaming to happen anytime soon. But, as it turns out, there might not be any more Xbox Exclusives coming to Nintendo unless the relationship between the two companies blossoms into a full-blown love affair. This news comes directly from the mouth of Xbox Head, Phil Spencer in an interview with Kotaku. While the previous Xbox-to-Switch ports have been loved and fairly successful, Spencer says that the approach to these ports “doesn’t feel sustainable.” And, it won’t be sustainable, apparently, until Nintendo and Microsoft are able to deliver a...

Possibility of An Updated Nintendo Switch Gains Momentum

Despite the fact that Nintendo believes the Switch has plenty of life left in it and isn’t worried one bit about the Xbox Series X or PS5, rumors have been swirling about a new Switch console being in the works. The first rumor involved the potential for a dual-screen switch, which would have been quite awkward, while the most recent rumor suggested that a new Switch with “upgraded interactivity” was in development. That rumor suggest that a Switch Pro of sorts, with 4K capability, was in development, and now a new report from Bloomberg seems to be backing that up in a major way. That report says that Nintendo has asked its assembly partners to “increase production” to 30 million units with the sole purpose of meeting extreme demand. That’s not surprising, honestly, since the Switch was hard to come by in the early days...

Super Mario 64 Is Finally Coming to Nintendo Switch

Back in March of 2020, we told you that Super Mario 64 and several other classic Mario games from past generations could land on the Nintendo Switch? Well, as it turns out, we were right. To celebrate 35 years of Mario Bros., Nintendo is launching Super Mario 3D All-Stars for the Nintendo switch and a lot more between now and March 2021. https://youtu.be/CPJcaGWoO2c What Games Are Included in Super Mario 3D All-Stars? Super Mario 3D All-Stars includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy – all three of which are considered the best of the franchise. When Does Super Mario 3D All-Stars Launch? Nintendo is set to launch Super Mario 3D All-Stars on September 18, 2020, but the company claims it’ll only be around for a limited time, with sales of both physical and digital versions of the game pack ending in March 2021. You can...

If A New Nintendo Switch Is Coming It Will Be Very Different

A newspaper out of Taipei, Taiwan called the Economic Daily News has published a report saying that a new Nintendo Switch would enter production in late 2020 and launch in the first-quarter of 2021. The report claims that the new Switch model will feature “upgraded interactivity” and improved display quality. The report cites various manufacturers responsible for Switch hardware, including those that build Flash storage and Joy-Con controllers. This sounds fairly credible, but back in February 2020, Nintendo was very clear that it didn’t care about the Xbox Series X or PS5, saying: “We believe that the position of Nintendo Switch in its lifecycle is different from that of hardware from other companies and that the consumers of our products are also different. Therefore, we do not believe that the business activities of other companies will be especially influential on Nintendo’s business” That quote from Nintendo pretty...

There Are Some Surprise Nintendo Switch Games Coming

Despite the fact that the Nintendo Switch is selling like crazy amid lockdown, and the recent rumors that Nintendo could release remastered version of its older Super Mario games, the fact of the matter is that the list of announced games is running pretty thin. In fact, outside of games like Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition that’s coming later this month and Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics that should launch in June, nothing else even has an official release date. Be that as it may, there’s apparently more games coming that we don’t know about. Of course, Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4 are still coming, but they are still at least a year out. There are other titles, though, that we’ve learned could materialize out of nowhere. The work comes from none other than Nintendo President, Suntaro Furukawa, during an investor...

Nintendo Just Launched the new DLC for Luigi’s Mansion 3 Way Ahead of Schedule

I know that the focal point of Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the storyline, but the multiplayer modes are fun too, and that’s why we’re excited to tell you that the game’s second DLC pack has gone live some three months early, and it brings new content to ScreamPark and ScareScraper multiplayer modes. As Nintendo explains the new content on Twitter: “Don the new Cap’n Weegee costume in ScareScaper mode or check out all sorts of new & wacky ScreamPark additions. Luigi’s Mansion 3 DLC Parts 1 & 2 are available now” This is actually a big surprise because the DLC was supposed to go live in July. But, let’s be honest, Nintendo couldn’t have picked a better time to launch it. It’s also on par with the last DLC, which was released a couple of months early as well with the same type of multiplayer content. If you...

A Nintendo Switch With Dual Screens Could Be in Development

Nintendo just rolled out Switch Firmware 10.0.0, and with it came button remapping and the much-needed ability to transfer games from internal storage to SD card. There was a little something hidden away inside that firmware update, and it was found by a seasoned dataminer known as Mike Heskin who found preliminary support for a new model codenamed “nx-abcd.” Now, that codename does sound about as far from legitimate as possible, but it’s actually inline with previous codenames for various switch devices, including nx-abca, nx-abca2, nx-abcb, and nx-abcc. Nintendo has already gone on record and said that the Nintendo Switch is only halfway through its life cycle and isn’t considered with the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 4, so this is a little strange, but we could be looking at a more premium model – one with dual displays, if you can believe that. https://twitter.com/hexkyz/status/1250077697004322816 In Heskin’s...

Nintendo Switch Firmware 10.0.0 Update – What You Need to Know

Nintendo has started rolling out a major firmware update to the Switch and Switch lite consoles, and the most important takeaway is that you’ll now be able to transfer software data (game installs) between the internal memory and the SD card – something that once required you to delete the game and redownload to accomplish. On top of this, there’s now the option to remap the controller buttons, something that is ideal for a number of games, a new section for Play Activity Settings, some new icons for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and a number of stability improvements. Here are the official patch notes for Switch Firmware Version 10.0.0: Added a bookmark feature to News. This feature allows you to bookmark your favorite news items.
