The fourth free title update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, known formerly as Alatreon, has been delayed with no new launch date set at this time. Word comes directly from Capcom via a post on the company blog:
"Unfortunately, coronavirus (COVID-19) related impacts on production have made it necessary to postpone the release of the fourth free title update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne," says community manager Yuri Araujuo. "Voice over production for the Italian, Spanish and French language versions have also been affected, and will be replaced with simplified recordings."
As of now, Capcom hasn’t announced a new release date, but with the delay being related to COVID-19, there’s no way to know for sure how things are going to unfold over the next few months. The Alatreon update was originally scheduled to arrive in the middle of the year, presumably June, so hopefully the...
It’s final, hunting huge monsters is an excellent way to entertain ourselves. The famous Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, a game in which, guess what, you kill monsters has reached four million sales - ranking it just six places below the base game.
The sales include all platforms, not just the PC version, which was released later on, but is said to be a major contributed to these numbers - a huge bump was made this year and it's likely that the game's PC release is what pushed it beyond the 4 million threshhold. On that note, it's returned to near-launch numbers of active players.
This milestone makes it the seventh-best sold game from Capcom, the first place being taken by the game itself, not the expansion.
"MHW:I achieved 4 million units shipped as a result of the titles' January 9 PC release on the globally...
In case you got bored with the current monsters, or you’re simply looking for something new, more challenging, and more difficult, well say no more as March will grant you these wishes. Your wishes come in the form of the Raging Brachydios and the Furious Rajang - two incredible and beautiful beast. But don’t get too comfortable; they're dangerous.
Let’s start with the big, yellow monkey with horns. His abilities are based on electricity and heavy strikes. Apart from the one we already got in the past, which gets enraged and changes colors, making it a little more dangerous, this one will be angry from the beginning and perhaps even more dangerous. So try your best to avoid any hits that may cause a quick death.
The Raging Brachydios is a dragon that can create explosions can also spit lava in any and all directions....
Following the release
of patch 10.12.01 for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, one that addressed those
annoying CPU usage and game save bugs, Capcom has announced a six-month roadmap
for the PC version of Iceborne. This roadmap
also serves as the path that will bring PC versions of the game perfectly in-sync
with the game on consoles.
From January 24 through February 13, both console and PC versions of Iceborne will hose the Grand Appreciate Fest. From that point on, however, things start to get widely different beween PC and consoles.
The entire moth of February for console players will include limited-time “Special Event Quests” while PC players will see the following:
February 6 – Title Update No. 1Rajang, a massive ape-like monster is added to
the gameGuiding Lands Volcanic Region is added to the gameLimited Time Events:Racoon

It’s been a while since the Iceborn came out for PC, and despite its big success, it's not perfect. The first major problem was revealed by a large number of players early, and included complaints that matchmaking wasn't working right and there was a high possibility of losing your saves and characters.
After these complaints started raining, Capcom finally made a decision and promised to fix this problem in the next update. As it turns out, the game save error started in October 2018, when Kulve Taroth was added to the game via a title update, and from there on, the solution was to shut down the game as soon as you receive the message "Failed to read saved date for Monster Hunter World: Icerborne. Create new save data?.”
Now, two months after the problem started, Capcom has released Patch 10.12.01 to address those...
Mr. X is coming to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, but that’s no big surprise as we’ve seen him back in October in a short video. This event will involve Leon, Clare, and Mr.X from Resident Evil 2. Only this time we’ll also get to see a “ Raccoon City”. Oh, and by the way, this time around, Mr. X is actually your friend and you can even play as him.
This event will bring plenty of rewards, especially Leon and Claire armors. Besides the shiny armor, we’ll also get to gang on out swords some huge pendants, Raccoon City style! As you complete this event’s challenges you will also get two new gestures. You will be able to shamble and a better zombie. You will also get to bite any monster you want damaging him (either way we suggest not to try...
Finally, Monster Hunter World Icerborne has a release date for PC. We already knew it was scheduled for early 2020, but now we know for sure that it will be available starting January 9th. The PC version comes with his own trailer that you see above.
The content won't be different, but it will offer better graphics with a high-resolution texture running with an uncapped framerate. Well, that is if your PC is up to the challenge. Now how can we enjoy it better than in 4k? The PC version will also be supported by DirectX 12, and, as expected, much better control over the mouse and keyboard - we don't want any "miss clicks" in a crucial situation.
If you're too excited to buy it on January 9th, 2020, you can pre-order Monster Hunter World Iceborne on steam. You can get a "welcome pack"...
Now that you're used to the Icecorne expansion for Monster Hunter World, a new update for Xbox One and PS4 is bringing a new creature to hunt and new improvements.
Rajang is the main attraction of this update, and for veterans, it's a perfect opportunity to relive the Freedom 2 days. It's described as a dangerous and powerful best, capable of killing even the "experienced hunters". This beast looks like a Hell's ape, with a considerable size and long and intimidating horns.
If you want to take the challenge and take him down, you'll have to complete Iceborne's full story. This beast will be available to hunt if you explored for at least a short period the lands of the Guiding too. The Admiral can task you with finding and killing Rajang, and we don't know much about the reward, but for such a...
The first free title update for the acclaimed Monster Hunter World:Iceborne expansion is now available, keeping the Monster Hunter tradition
of robust post-launch support and extending the end-game content even
further. The free update offers more challenging options for players to
conquer including the ferocious fan-favorite Rajang, more tempered
monsters, a whole new region for the end-game Guiding Lands area, and
more. In an accompanying developer update video, Capcom also revealed additional post-launch updates planned for the remainder of the year as well as upcoming collaborations.
The centerpiece of the first update is the fearsome Rajang, the thunderous fan-favorite monster that offers a challenge for even the most seasoned hunters. This hyper-aggressive fanged beast turns into a golden ball of fury when enraged, unleashing even more lethal attacks as its powerful arms deal incredible damage in one swoop. However, defeating...
Resident Evil 2 and Monster Hunter World are coming together in the wierdest way, just when we thought Monster Hunter World couldn't get any weirder. Now, you will be able to customize your characters in Monster Hunter World to look like Leon and Claire from Resident Evil 2. There are also at least two zombie skins that we know very little about.
This new "crossover," if that's what you would call it, kicks off in November and you'll be able to get the skins of Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and even Mr. X. The skins were posted on twitter by the Monster Hunter Twitter account. We see how the main characters are presented in their themed background, fighting - you guessed it - zombies. As for what or how many zombie skins we'll get remains to be seen, but it looks like this should...
