Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released in 2019 as a full-on remaster of 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The original game was credited with moving the COD series out of the World War II setting, and it effectively set the bar for all other COD games developed by Infinity Ward. Fast forward to 2019, and the game was remastered and released a second time for modern consoles and PC. The storyline takes place in 2011 where the president of an unnamed Middle Eastern country was assassinated as an ultranationalist movement ignites a civil war in Russia. Modern Warfare has mixed in multiplayer modes from the original game along with some maps weapons from Modern Warfare 2, and as of the time of this writing, is updated on a regular basis.
Activision has now released fresh content for both Call of Duty
Warzone and Call
of Duty: Modern Warfare. Updates include four new Warzone weapons, a new operator
named Talon, and a new 6v6 map called Khandor Hideout. The update went live a
2AM EST on the East Coast or 6am UK time.
Modern Warfare Map Khandor Hideout
Khandor Hideout is a new map added to Modern Warfare today
as a new, medium-sized 6v6 battleground. Activision describes it as having “long
sight lines and interior spaces.” It is quite an impressive map for snipers,
but there’s also a big warehouse right in the middle for those of you that
prefer to run-and-gun as opposed to camping and sniping.
Modern Warfare and Warzone Operator Talon
Talon is an all-new operator that has joined both Modern Warfare
and Warzone. He comes complete with a combat ready dog that takes part in his
finishing move. However, to get Talon and...
I don't know what to say, but Infinity Ward can't keep a
secret, especially "Warzone," which will be the name of the upcoming
battle Royale in Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
This time, a video uploaded by "Chaos." The video disappeared
shortly after, but some of the facts we're saved by our faithful Reddit.
The video confirmed that the new model name would be "Warzone."
Every match will contain up to 150 players. The "Battle Royale" map
will contain "fragments" from other maps, and you will have a handful
of vehicles to use:
There are more coming, but this is what we know for sure.
The "classic teams" will be available as well:
SoloDuoTeams of 4
The mode will be free to play, but that doesn't mean you can't spend money on other things.
For example, apart from other battle royale game, if you die,
you can continue the game. You can use a" Respawn Coin." To...
The latest Call of Duty Modern Warfare patch brought the new map Bazar, among other things, but more import than that was an Easter egg hidden away inside the map. This Easter egg comes in the form of a blank map with the date “03/03” plastered underneath it.
On the new Bazaar map, there seems to be a blank map with the date 03/03 featured underneath. 🧐Could this be a hint at the Call of Duty Warzone release date? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/eGt1k83pwX— Call of Duty Warzone News (@BattleRoyaleCoD) February 26, 2020
You can see it plastered plain as day in the tweet above,
and it certainly aligns with the latest
rumors that Warzone would launch in early March. It also explains why Activision
was so quick to attempt legal action against those leaking
information about Warzone. Conveniently, the date of 03/03 falls on a
Tuesday, which would mean the release...
If you had any second thoughts on the battle royale mode on Modern Warfare, Activision is showing us that their big secret is, in fact, true. Most of the leaks we’re from Reddit posts, but the ones that pissed Activision oof seems to be an image with people holding guns on top of some vehicles, in the image we also get the “Call of Duty: Warzone” watermark, so it was a dead giveaway.
If you think this isn’t serious yet, Activision has required that Reddit divulges pieces of information regarding the user that posted in hopes of furthering legal action, but they got zero results. The user that linked the image was Assyrian241O in a post with a link to the picture with “ I found this image online. Not sure what it is. Possibly Battle Royale”.
To fix the leaks and keep their work...
If you're a Call of Duty veteran, the only thing coming here is nostalgia. Modern Warfare Season 2 has barely kicked off and data miners have already discovered hints that two classic maps are coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Discovered by Redditor evilonyx, files for both Broadcast and Killhouse have been found inside the code for Season 2. Of course, this could just be files forgotten about during the port, but seeing how COD likes to bring up memories, there's a high chance that the maps are coming to the game at some point in the future..
New Maps Coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Killhouse: This is a small map (same as Shipment) that we meet in COD Mobile and COD Online. The map is a center of violence that forces players to rely on their fast reactions and aim, and you'll...
You’ve seen the leaks and heard the rumors about Modern Warfare’s
upcoming battle royale mode. The most recent “leak,” as it would be called,
actually came courtesy of a
glitch that threw some players into the new map.
Now, a new report that cites anonymous sources with the U.S.
development team claims that the new game mode is “at least a few weeks away”
and will probably launch sometime in early March. Based on CoD’s typical launch
schedule that favors Tuesday, March 10th could be the official
launch day for Modern Warfare Warzone.
The new mode will be available to all Modern Warfare
players, and will be found in the main menu where the “CLASSIFIED” option
current resides. However, reports are now indicating that it will also launch
as its own standalone game, akin to that of Apex Legends, Fortnite, and PUBG.
How much of the game will be available at this point is a mystery. The...
Modern Warfare’s new battle royale mode, known as Warzone,
isn’t much of a secret. Call of Duty developers have yet to officially confirm
it, but there have been so many leaks that it makes the U.S. government look amazing
in comparison. This time around, we actually get a sneak peek at Warzone
gameplay, and it comes thanks to a weird bug that has been throwing players
from the main menu into the main tutorial for the new game mode.
As you can see from the video above, Warzone’s initial
tutorial will take place in the firing range that we’ve all grown familiar to.
This time, things are a little different, though, and previous leaks have been
all but confirmed as well. You can expect to find loot boxes (supply crates,) a
tiered armor system, a tiered weapon system, plunder (an in-game currency used
to by special items and killstreaks,) and we know for sure...
Updated 02/10/2020: Just a day before Modern Warfare Season 2 officially kicks off, the official trailer was leaked across Reddit and various social media platforms. We now know for sure that Rust is, in fact, returning to Modern Warfare, and there's a new Ground War map known as Zhokov Boneyardmaking its debut as well. We're still not sure inwhat capacity Ghost is returning, but he's clearly visible in the leaked trailer. Here's the leaked trailer:
A new teaser posted by the official Call of Duty Twitter account brought us a couple of late Christmas presents. The first was an official start date for Modern Warefare Season 2, which is confirmed to kick off on February 11. The second? When Infinity Ward released the latest patch that brough
about a new crossbow weapon, among other things, it came at quite the cost – a new
issue that caused all of your stats to be wiped away and reset to zero, or at
least it seemed that away. Since then, Infinity Ward has assured us that
everyone’s stats and progress have been maintained behind the scenes but has yet
to find a way to restore them.
For now, a new fix has been released – one that’s being called a backend patch. You don’t have to download anything, but it does address a couple of things. First and foremost, the issue with the loadout slots have been addressed. Some people were experiencing an issue where they were getting kicked back to the multiplayer screen when they clicked on the class. That won’t happen anymore, but those of you that...
