Battlefield 6 Maps Will Be Massive With Support for 128+ Players

It has been a little while since we’ve heard anything about Battlefield 6, with the most recent being back in June 2020 when we heard that it won’t be a remaster but it would take inspiration from Battlefield 3.  Now a new rumor, which comes courtesy of Twitter user, Tome Henderson, says that Battlefield 6 will be designed to support 128 players or more and that EA and Dice are even considering a Battle Royal thanks to the interest in games like Call of Duty: Warzone. Battlefield news; Maps have been designed with 128+ players in mind. The Next Battlefield Won’t Be a Remaster But Takes Inspiration From Battlefield 3

In response to a Twitter user reminiscing about how great Battlefield 3 was, Industry Insider, Tom Henderson, replied with the phrase “you’ll be a happy bunny next year then.” This was taken by many that the next Battlefield game – due in 2021 – would be a remaster of Battlefield 3. Battlefield 6 Will Launch in 2021, Probably a Next-Gen Exclusive

Earlier this week, we reported that Battlefield 5 was due one more update and that Chapter 6 would be the last seasonal chapter. At the time, it was believed that Battlefield six was at least a couple of years out, with EA’s original time frame being EA’s fiscal 2022 or April 2021 to March 2022, with early 2022 being more likely. Now, a new report suggests that EA has shortened that release window considerably, with a new Battlefield, whatever it will be called, coming in 2021. Now that Battlefield V and Star Wars Battlefront II are coming to an end, EA DICE is apparently about to shift its focus to the next Battlefield. This news comes directly from a statement made by EA via VGC: “The team at DICE is working on the standalone Battlefield V update releasing...
