Super Mario 64 and Many Other Titles Could Come to the Nintendo Switch

If reports are true, Nintendo is going to celebrate Mario’s anniversary in epic style

The Super Mario Series launched wat back in 1985 and this year marks Mario’s 35th anniversary. New reports coming from both VGC and Eurogamer, claim that Nintendo is going to celebrate by remastering and re-releasing most of Super Mario’s back catalog for the Nintendo Switch. This news was supposed to break during E3 2020 in June, but that has since bee canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, so Nintendo is reportedly considering a digital showcase instead.

If Nintendo is really going to follow through with this, and we really hope they do, here’s a partial list of what we could get on Switch this year:

  • 1992 – Super Mario Word
  • 1992 – Super Mario Land 2
  • 1997 – Super Mario 64
  • 2002 – Super Mario Sunshine
  • 2006 – New Super Mario Bros.
  • 2007 – Super Mario Galaxy
  • 2009 – New Super Mario Bros. Wii
  • 2010 – Super Mario Galaxy World
  • 2011 – Super Mario 3D Land
  • 2012 – New Super Mario Bros 2
  • 2012 New Super Mario Bros. U
  • 2013 Super Mario 3D World

And, the list goes on folks. If any or all of these games are remastered and re-released, they’ll join the special interactive Lego Mario Set. I don’t know about you, but I’m really looking to playing Super Mario 64 again at higher graphics. Now, if only we could get someone to remaster Golden Eye 007 from the 64.
