Updated: Mortal Kombat on Nintendo Switch is Currently $23.99

Update 5/10/2020: The Nintendo Switch port of Mortal Kombat 11 has finally launched (as of late April) and is currently on sale via the Nintendo Switch store for just $23.99, so jump on it now before it returns to the usual price of $59.99! Just be sure that you have at least 6.5GB of free space as the game is rather large. You should also be sure to check out more about the Aftermath DLC that’s set to launch soon!

Original Story:

Soon You’ll Be Able to Fight on the Go Because Mortal Kombat 11 Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

If you’re a Mortal Kombat Fan and someone that favors the Nintendo Switch, then we have good news for you! It’s been officially confirmed that Mortal Kombat 11 is indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch, so you’ll be able to fight on the go, wherever you go. Naturally, the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 isn’t as pretty as you’ll find on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or the PC due to the nature of portable games like the Switch. Be that as it may, however, the fact that the game can be played almost anywhere pretty much makes up for it.

The trailer that you can watch above shows off a small portion of a cutscene before showing off a fight scene on a switch screen. Because of the smaller screen size, the gameplay seems a little low-quality in terms of graphics – at least in terms of other trailers we’ve seen that depict gameplay on more powerful consoles. But, this was expected as the Switch naturally gives up graphics quality, but for what it’s worth, Gamespot says the game ran smoothly during its hands-on testing.

The roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat 11 has already been announced, and you can expect to play with Jonny Cage, Raiden, and even Katina. Downloadable content will be coming too, the first of which will include Shang Tsung. Mortal Kombat releases for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch on April 23, so you better get ready!
