The drama behind a new Silent Hill game has been as gruesome and terrifying as the game itself. We heard new games were coming, then we heard it would return for the PS5, then in quick succession Konami shot the rumors down. A month or so later, a Japanese horror artist hinted at a Silent Hills revival, and a month after that, yet another leak said that a reveal was imminent. The trail has, for the most part, been cold ever since. So, what in the world is going on? Is it coming? Is it not? Well, known (and usually accurate) leaker, Aesthetic Gamer, has clued us in on some new facts, and now it looks like Silent Hill could be revealed as soon as next month.
Now, before we get into the tweet from Aesthetic Gamer, I should point out that he was very accurate when it came to Resident Evil Village (RE8), and has had a knack for nailing information for horror games in general. You should still take this with a grain of salt, as a new Silent Hill has yet to be officially confirmed, but it’s coming from a reliable source, so do with it what you will.
(2/2) exact time is unclear. The two most likely times will be in August/September. August there is planned a State of Play in response to Microsoft's July event with new announcements. September there's a thing planned around TGS. I don't know specifically, I'll tweet when I do.

The tweet you see above also comes after the same leaker suggested that a PS5 exclusive would be revealed in either June or August, and that really makes sense for Silent Hill. Aesthetic Gamer went on to say that the game is in a playable state, which suggests it’s not complete quite yet, but it’s close enough to being finished that we might actually get to see some gameplay. It’s not slated to be a launch game, however, chances of Silent Hill actually launching this year are pretty slim.
