New Details Revealed for Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation

There’s a new character, a new weapon, and the original map is coming back!

Respawn and Electronic Arts have finally revealed some information for Apex Legends’ fourth season, and we have some good news for you. First and foremost, Kings Canyon, the original map, is coming back. Things will be a little different this time around though.

During Assimilation, Ranked Mode will be split into two different series. The first will kick off with the new season on February 4, 2020 and will run until March 23. The very next day, on March 24, series 2 will kick off and run until May 5th, the official end date for Season 4. As was the case in Season 3: Meltdown, your rank will drop two levels at the start of the season and will reset again when the second series kicks off, so you’ll earn two different rankings. Your best ranking will determine your end-of-season rewards.

That’s where the twist comes into play, though, as you won’t get to play on Kinds Canyon right away. The first series will be played on the familiar map, World’s Edge. When the second series kicks off on March 24, you’ll be dropped onto Kings Canyon.

With that out of the way, the 14th Character to be introduced to the game is the handsome feloow you see above. His name is Forge and he “uses size, strength, and heavy-duty Shatter Gauntlets to batter his opponents into submission. A new battle pass is also available with over 100 exclusive items from Legendary skins to Apex Packs, loading screens, and music packs, among other things. What you’ll really like, however, is the new bolt-action sniper rifle known as Sentinel. As the story goes, you’ll be able to “cut through your enemies’ armor before they even see you coming.

We still have a couple more weeks before Season 4 kicks off, so be sure to check back with us for updates!
