Even if Windows 10 is one of the most used operating systems on almost all PCs, some new games are still playable on the Windows 7 operation system. The best example will be the new Gears 5 that’s set to launch in early September 2019. Initial Gears 5 system requirements indicated that Windows 10 will be a “must-have” for a better experience of the game, but steam has shown us otherwise.
According to Steam, Windows 7 64-bit will cover the requirements of Gears 5. All those facts being clarified by Ryan Cleven, the design director. This inlcudes cloud saves, achievements, controllers support, and Steam trading cards. A cross-platform multiplayer will be added later on, but that will require your Xbox profile for compatibility, even if you buy the game on steam and play on PC.
