Just a few days ago, we told you about how a listing for Modern Warfare 2 Remastered popped up on a Korean ratings board, and now even more evidence has come to light that the campaign form Modern Warfare 2 is, in fact, making a comeback. This latest evidence comes courtesy of the most recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update where assets for the for the rumored title were found within the patch by dataminers.
The Call of Duty patch notes went live just yesterday, but as you can see on Imgur, the cover art for MW2, some banner images, and something else called” Call of Duty: Modern Warfare2 Campaign Remastered were all found within the patch.
These all appear to be updated images of the Modern Warefare 2 title screens, and those are clearly remastered versions of MW2’s ghosts from way back in 2009. Again, nothing as been confirmed by Activision, but all the recent leaks followed by the latest assets found by dataminers sure do hint that MW2’s campaign will be remastered and is probably right around the corner.
