Updated: A New Listing Has Leaked the Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X Bundle!

The controller was leaked via an Amazon listing and is themed around Johnny Silverhand

UPDATE 4/17/2020: Another Amazon listing posted a little too seen has leaked the Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X bundle, something that we predicted just 2 hours ago when the special-edition controller was leaked. We have to admit that the console bundle does look amazing, despite the fact that it should launch in September, just a month or two before the Xbox Series X is set to launch.  We definitely saw this coming as Xbox started teasing the bundle early this week, but considering this isn’t completely official quite yet, you can expect to hear more about it in the coming days and months.

Original Story:

A listing for a Cyberpunk 2077-themed Xbox One controller recently landed on Amazon Canada, and despite the fact that the game doesn’t launch until September 17, 2020, the special-edition controller has a May 4, 2020 release date.

To be clear, this controller hasn’t been officially unveiled or even acknowledged by either Xbox or CD Projekt Red, and it’s likely  that the controller was listed early by accident as it has since been taken down. However, because of the fun little fact that what lands on the internet stays on the internet, we can show you exactly what you missed.

As you can see, the controller is based on the character Johnny Silverhand who, as you all know, is played by Keanu Reeves. He plays a very prominent role in the game and is said to have twice as many lines of dialogue than any other character. Thanks to the nature of Cyberpunk 2077, the controller has a rugged design with a scuffed metal side, an Arasaka logo (an in-game corporation) on one side, and no future scratched into the right hand grip. Obviously, very fitting for something themed around Cyberpunk 2077.

Given the popularity of the character, the game, and Keanu, it’s not surprising there would be a limited-edition controller. And, that May launch date for the controller seems a little off since the game itself doesn’t launch until September, but it is on par with the game’s original April release date. So, this got us to thinking: what if this controller is actually going to be part of a bundle? A Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One bundle might be feasible if priced right, with the only downside being the impending launch of the Xbox Series X. Then again, there could be a game-controller bundle that includes the highest form of the game and the controller with some kind of discount. It’s still too early to tell, but the controller certainly looks badass and has already garnered a lot of positive attention on social media.
