Cyberpunk 2077 Dev is Proud of Leaked 18+ Ratings Leak

“You Surprised? We Don’t f@$% Around”

The content leak for The Last of Us 2 was, at least to some extent, pretty disappointing for its developers, but the exact opposite is true of a leaked content rating for Cyberpunk 2077. The leak occurred only briefly from the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and labels Cyberpunk 2077 as an 18+ game. Highlights of the listing include some very telling concepts that we can expect:

  • “Exposure to death corpse”
  • “Body injury”
  • “Description of illicit drug consumption of trafficking”
  • “Nudity”
  • “Sexual relationship”
  • “Intense sexual relation”
  • “Cruelty”
  • “Mutilation”

Oddly enough, the only thing in the listing lists as 18+ is the cruelty aspect which could be just about anything, but we’re guessing it relates to some kind of low-level torture perhaps. If you want to see the full list, you can see it over on Reddit, but the point is that Pawel Sasko, a developer at CD Projekt Red, posted a brief screenshot and expressed just how proud of the leaked rating he is:

As a developer that’s surprised that you’re surprised, the “We don’t fuck around” bit just goes to show that there’s a level of pride in those ratings. For what it’s worth, an official pamphlet from the Brazilian Nation Secretariat of Justice defines “cruelty” as “Realistic scene of violence, in a sadistic way, and which inflicts intense physical pain.”

I don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty awesome to me… at least in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe anyway. For now, why not take the time to look over our recent Cyberpunk 2077 news:
