Remember back in the late 2000s when the PlayStation 2 had a plethora of horror games? We didn’t realize it then, but we were very lucky. Sure, there are a few good horror games these days, and Capcom has done right by remastering the old Resident Evil games, but we’re still waiting for a new Silent Hill game. In all honesty, things will probably never be the same. The good news is that you will soon get some old-school thrills, thanks to a game call Tormented Souls.
Tormented Souls is being developed by Dual Effect and Abstract Digital, and will be published by PQube Limited. It looks like a weird blend between the first Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Clock Tower. In fact, these games are what developers look to for inspiration. The game is set in an old mansion turned hospital (hello Resident Evil) and you’ll play as Caroline Walker, a woman that is investigating the disappearance of twin girls in a town known as Winterlake (hello Silent Hill.) The games official description on...
Aesthetic Gamer has a pretty good history of accurate leaks, but they are usually associated with games. This time around, he’s claiming that not only with the PlayStation 5 cost more than the Xbox Series X but that it will struggle with delivering 4K – something Sony is said to be combating with “Fake 4K,” whatever that means. With AG’s experience in leaking Resident Evil information, with the most recent leak being that Resident Evil Village will be the longest of the series thus far. That said, it shouldn’t be surprising that this leak about the PS5 is directly related to Resident Evil Village (RE8).
(2/3) But people are should get ready for the really real possibility that the PS5 is going to end up being the more expensive console between the two, I'm trying not to say much here as I was asked not to but prepare yourself, which does put Xbox X in a position it'll be the— AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem (@AestheticGamer1) August 12, 2020

There are a lot of fundamental differences between the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, but one of the most noticeable is the difference in size. The Series X isn’t exactly small, but it’s nowhere near as large as the PS5. During his guest appearance on Animal Talking, Phill Spencer weighed in on why the PS5 is so large and why the Xbox Series X is able to be a bit smaller. Believe it or not, for the man behind Xbox, he’s given us the most logical reasoning so far.
During his time on Animal Talking, Spencer was asked about the aesthetics of both next-gen consoles, and he explained that engineers from both sides of the pond faced a lot of the same issues, one of the most prominent being the challenge that is keeping the consoles cool. The difference in size between the two actually boils down to how both engineering teams tackled the same problem.
Spencer’s speculation about the PS5 is that since its GPU has 36 Compute Units clocked at 2.23 GHz,...
It seems like news about the potential for sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn has just recently started circulating, but in a matter of just a few months, we’ve learned a lot. Not only is it limited to next-gen consoles but between reports that it would be a PS5 exclusive and the job listing that backed that report up, we’re pretty sure is bound only for the PS5 with some potential to make it to PC some point in the future. That said, we have a lot more to talk about than that, and this guide will get you up to speed with everything that you need to know.
Horizon Zero Dawn 2 Is Actually Horizon Forbidden West
For the past few months, everyone has been calling the game Horizon Zero Dawn 2, but now that the official trailer above has been released, we know that the game will officially go by Horizon 2 Forbidden West. That name, by the way, holds a little more meaning than you might think, as you’ll find out a little further...

Games have had dynamic weather systems in one form or another for years, but Ghost of Tsushima’s is designed to add to the game. How So? Well, the dynamic weather in Ghost of Tsushima occurs in real-time and changes based on the decisions you make. As you – or Jin Sakai, I should say – begin to move down a darker, less-honorable path, the weather too will begin to get darker. This was explained by Creative Director, Nate Fox, in an interview with Gamespot:
“The game is definitely scripted to provide more storms as you do things which are extremely ghost driven.”
For those of you who haven’t played Ghost of Tsushima quite yet – it launched on July 17, 2020 for the PS4 – the concept of being “ghost driven” refers to the main protagonists honor or lack thereof as the game naturally progresses. Without going into spoilers, Jin starts out as an honorable samurai on a mission to save his homeland from invading Mongols. In the beginning, you’ll use skills of the samurai to...
This isn’t the first time that we’ve visited the question of whether the Xbox Series X is better than the PlayStation 5 or vice versa. Industry insiders seem to claim that the PS5 is better, and an Epic Game’s boss has even said that the PS5’s SSD is “way ahead” of high-end PCs. At the same time, the Series X has had it’s own early fan club, the latest of which is Valve President and CEO, Gabe Newell.
Newell has been stationed in New Zealand for a little while now, and has recently been doing a media tour to thank New Zealanders for letting him hunker down amid the coronavirus pandemic. His most recent stop was a current affairs show known as The Project where the hosts asked him a number of gaming related questions, the most prominent of which was which new console you should buy this holiday season and which is better.

The PS4 and Xbox One have been around for some seven years, which has become about the standard for gaming consoles. The fifth-gen PS5, however, could have a shorter lifecycle and be replaced with a sixth-gen model – presumably the PlayStation 6 – in as little as five years after its initial launch. That would mean that we could be going through this whole Microsoft vs. Sony charade as soon as 2024 with the next-gen consoles launching as soon as 2025.
News that the PS5 could be the shortest generation of the console to date comes via. Digitimes, which quotes a Taiwanese supply chain with inside knowledge. In those five years, it’s reported that Sony is estimated sales topping 120 million units which would be “roughly double” the sales numbers expected for the Xbox Series X. Microsoft’s move, at this point, is still a complete mystery as is what Sony would be able to do to make a PS6 stand out against the PS5. Specs for both Series X and PS5 are well known and...
Sony is all set to launch the PlayStation 5 this holiday season, but while Microsoft is starting to kill of production of the Xbox One, PlayStation is clear that there’s still a lot to come for the PS4 and has even gone so far as to say there’s still a lot of life left in the console. Strange? Perhaps, but it’s not as strange as you might think.
Eric Lempel, the Worldwide Head of PlayStation Marketing discusses the company’s outlook on the PS4 at the end of Today’s Summer Games Festival DualSense reveal. Lempal made it very clear that the PS4 was still important to the company and that PS4 owners shouldn’t worry if they can’t upgrade right when the PS5 launches.
“We believe that all of these things combined, as well as all the other great PS5 features we've spoken about, really lead to a next-generation experience. And in many cases, we can't take everybody with us from previous consoles into that experience. You need new hardware, you need new devices to experience what these...
Ubisoft’s Looking Forward event – the company’s digital replacement for this year’s canceled E3 – came with a seven-minute trailer for Watch Dogs Legion (embedded below) and an official release date of October 29, 2020. The game will launch for current-gen systems this October with next-gen versions of the game “coming soon.” What that means is up for debate, but you shouldn’t expect to see it land on the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 until at least February 2021.
Watch Dogs Legion Gameplay Overview Trailer (July 2020)
The trailer for Watch Dogs Legion gives is a look at the main villains in the game – Albion CEO Nigel Cass and Mary Kelly, the latter of which is the leader of the most powerful crim syndicate in London.
