Part smartphone, part tablet, Samsung’s category-defying Galaxy Fold offers users an entirely new kind of mobile experience, featuring fun and innovative ways to multitask, watch videos, play games, and more.
Samsung subjected the device to several rounds of extensive tests in its state-of-the-art reliability labs to make sure that the Galaxy Fold is ready to come to market.
Naturally, given the smartphone’s design, a Folding Test was a pivotal part of the Galaxy Fold’s durability assessment. This test, which examines whether the Galaxy Fold can outlast 200,000 folds and unfolds (or around five years of use, if used 100 times a day), takes a full week to complete. While the extent of the test may seem like overkill to some, Samsung viewed it as vital to ensuring the durability of device’s hinged design and Infinity Flex Display.
Watch how Samsung ensures that the Galaxy Fold will be up to the task with each and every fold and unfold.

The most desirable luxury commodities in the 21st Century are private space and time. Automated vehicles are designed to offer people precisely that: the car is transformed from purely a means of transport to a private area of retreat. On the way to autonomous driving, Mercedes-Benz as a pioneer is going well beyond purely technical realisation and increasingly placing people at the centre of its deliberations. In the same way as the 1886 Patent Motor Car and its successors revolutionised personal mobility and therefore society as a whole, autonomously driving cars will also bring about major changes. This opens up a wealth of new possibilities in the interior for the car's occupants to make use of the time gained by not having to actively drive the vehicle. One variant is this: gaming - ranging from attractive and entertaining games to modern learning programmes.
To find the most innovative concepts for completely new in-car experiences, Daimler is now starting a major competition for new entertainment ideas: the In-Car-Gaming Challenge. We...
Apple customers that finally got over the fact that they
have to shell out $159 for the wireless Airpods
will now have to get over the fact that the 2019 crop of iPhones won’t support
quick charging out of the box either. Previous rumors suggested that quick
chargers would be a standard accessory with iPhones sold from 2019 onward, but a new report from Macotakara suggests
otherwise. According to the most recent report, new iPhones will continue to
come with the old-school, outdated 5-Watt charging bricks. Which, in turn, also
means that they won’t feature the USB-C ports found on most new Android-based phones on the market today.
This means a couple of things. First, you’ll have to pony up
for a fast charger if you don’t want to, essentially, trickle charge your new phone. Secondly, 2019 iPhones will still
come with regular USB-A-Lightning cable adapters. So, when you consider how
Apple tries to milk consumers for everything it can, previous USB-C rumors aren’t
worth their weight in gold. Secondly, you still won’t be able to connect your

Since the launch of G-SYNC, gaming monitors have evolved quickly with higher refresh rates, HDR and new form factors. They’ve become the standard for pro gaming, and we continue to help guide their evolution by working with partners and with end-to-end development and certification testing.
Today we’re announcing that we’re expanding the G-SYNC ecosystem.
There are hundreds of monitor models available capable of variable refresh rates (VRR) using the VESA DisplayPort Adaptive-Sync protocol. However, the VRR gaming experience can vary widely.
To improve the experience for gamers, NVIDIA will test monitors. Those that pass our validation tests will be G-SYNC Compatible and enabled by default in the GeForce driver.
G-SYNC Compatible tests will identify monitors that deliver a baseline VRR experience on GeForce RTX 20-series and GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards, and activate their VRR features automatically.
Support for G-SYNC Compatible monitors will begin Jan. 15...
