Here’s Your First Look at Saints Row The Third Remastered

https://youtu.be/xk2y2Kj0JK8 Saint’s Row, the weird parody of a game that was once designed to take on Grand Theft Auto has spun completely out of control as of the launch of Saints Row IV. That’s right, folks, Saints Row The Third has been remastered and is set to launch on May 22, 2020 after a healthy remastering. Unlike the more recent Saints Row titles, the third installment of the series was a little more grounded and puts you in the position of re-establishing your gang as the world’s top organization. Like GTA V, you’ll get to us an arsenal of firearms and weird vehicles, but you also get to enjoy some of the more interesting melee weapons. The Remastered edition that launches for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in May is the complete version of the game with all DLC and expansions...

Apex Legends Crossplay – The Feature We Want But Aren’t Getting

Apex Legends has evolved almost continuously since it launched in early 2019 with new maps, weapons, operators, and various improvements yet, here we are more than a year in and crossplay has yet to be added to the game. Competing games like Fortnite, Destiny 2, and even Call of Duty Warzone have it, so why doesn’t Apex Legends? Well, the General Manager of Apex Legends, Dusty Welch, and the game’s director, Chad Grenier, sat down with Game Informer to discuss season 4 and in that interview, they were asked about the status of crossplay. With crossplay originally being discussed when Apex Legends was launched, where it’s at is a question on just about everybody’s mind. The truth is, that it’s difficult to implement and just isn’t ready yet. “I think on crossplay we see it's something that is kind of expected in the industry and is important to a game like ours. Chad and I are obviously big fans of playing our game at work and...

The Last of Us 2 Might Launch Sooner Than You Think

The Last of Us 2 was expected to launch on PS4 back in February, and more recently re learned that it had been delayed for an indefinite period of time. Naughty Dog had issues its own statement at that time (just on April 3, to be exact) but now Naughty Dog VP, Neil Druckmann appeared on the Official PlayStation Blogcast (embedded above) to talk about the game’s delay a little more in-depth. While part of the delay is undoubtedly on the shoulders of the COVID-19 outbreak, it also seems as if the delay also lies on the shoulders of Naughty Dog Studios as well. It is, of course, important to remember that delays often lead to a better game, but Druckmann points out that the team is disappointed in the delay just like the rest of us. Internally we know we have a great game and it’s just... we have to wait a little bit longer to get it out there to...

The Xbox Series X Might be More Powerful, but Industry Insiders Say the PS5 is Better

Crytek is a studio that has been responsible for a number of games, namely the first Farcry, the Crysis Series, and games like Ryse and Hunt: Showdown. A rendering engineer for that very studio, Ali Salehi, spoke of what it’s like to develop games for both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 and, long story short, the PS5 comes out as the better system. Salehi spoke to Persian gaming website Vigiato where he discussed the power different between both next-gen systems and how the power advantage of the Xbox Series X isn’t all it seems to be.  He claims that the PS5 is designed in a way that makes developing and coding games much easier, especially when it comes to reaching the consoles peak performance. “The developers are saying PS5 is the easiest console they have ever coded on to reach its peak performance. Software-wise, coding for PS5 is extremely simple and has so many abilities that make the so free. In total, I...

Breaking: Xbox All Access and Multiple Launch Consoles on the Table

https://youtu.be/3PeSc3Ow_Ts In the same IGN feature where Phil Spencer discussed how Xbox could win the next generation console war, he also shed some light on what Microsoft has planned for the Xbox Series X at launch and beyond. In the video that you see above, Spencer discussed how Microsoft was going to “go big” with Xbox All Access for the launch of the box Series X when it launches later this year.  This means that obtaining the new Xbox Series X could be a simple as joining Xbox All Access and paying your monthly dues. However, there was something that is, seemingly, a little more important, and that is his wording. He said that Microsoft will “go big with at the launch of the consoles.” So, that raises the question of whether or not Spencer misspoke. Microsoft has suggested in the past that it planned to launch more than just one next-gen console this year – similar to the way we current have...

As Rumors About PS5 Delays Circulate, The Xbox Series X Takes Aim at Winning the Next Generation

https://youtu.be/3PeSc3Ow_Ts Just a couple of days ago, rumors began to swirl that Sony was having Performance issues with the PlayStation 5, increasing worry that the system would be delayed despite the fact that Sony claims that it’s right on schedule. Right around the same time, Phil Spencer told IGN that he’s not really worried about Sony’s next-gen console and that game delays probably won’t stop Microsoft from launching the Xbox Series X. Now, Spencer took his place on IGN’s Next-Gen Console Watch 2020 where he says he believes that Xbox has a plan that can win the next-gen console wars. During his talks on the show, which we’ve embedded above, Spencer said, "We have a plan and we feel very solid about it. I believe we have a plan that can win ” He explained went on to explain how the Xbox team started working on the next-gen Series X console, saying that “you have to set a...

Rumor: Resident Evil 8 Could Feature a First-Person View

Just days before the launch of Resident Evil 3 Remake, we got word that the 2021 installment of Resident Evil would be a big departure and that “a lot of people would be pissed off about it.” The same guy that shared this information, Aesthetic Gamer, is a fairly reliable leaker (he’s been right more than he’s been wrong) and has now shared a little more information about Resident Evil 8 and what we can expect from it. What We Know About Resident Evil 8 Apparently, RE8 actually began life as Resident Evil Revelations 3. If you’re not aware, the “Revelations” name is being used as a spin-off and gap filler for Resident Evil games that are different. It has worked so far as Revelations 2, for example, was a pretty big hit. Word is that Capcom liked the early version of the game so much (it’s supposedly been in development since 2016, by the way) that the company decided...

Fame Will Play a Major Role in Humankind

As time passes, we find more and more about the upcoming game Humankind. Like many other strategy games, Humankind is focused on getting more and more land, a big economy, and a mighty army. So, it shouldn't be surprising that Humankind will rely a lot on your city fame.  As the developers put it, “ this game is about the journey and not the destination.” You will need to think of different ways to make your city “greater than any other” and not necessarily as much about “how to conquer even more.“ Fame will be accumulated by almost every mark that you create in the world. You will receive fame as you discover more and more territories; you can also increase the fame by building “wanders.” We don’t know if the wanders will reward you just once or if it will be a constant gain. In Humankind we created a single unified victory condition called Fame," says executive producer Jean-Maxime Moris. "Fame...

You Can Now Pre-Order or “Reserve” The PS5 from a Canadian Game Retailer

With little being known about the PlayStation 5 outside of its backward compatibility capabilities, how it compares spec-wise to the Xbox Series X, and that it could load games impressively fast, you should probably take what we’re about to tell you with a healthy dose of skepticism. With that in mind, you can now apparently pre-order the PlayStation 5 from a Canadian retailer in Vancouver for the price of CAD$559, which – at current exchange rates – comes to about $397 in the United States. For that price you can apparently “reserve” two per household, but there’s little other information to go on. Considering the fact that Sony has yet to even reveal what the PlayStation 5 looks like and that it has yet to officially establish a price, you should probably pre-order at your own risk. Chances are this gaming store – known as Play N’ Trade – is just trying to drum up some early business and probably doesn’t even have official confirmation of how many units...
