COD Warzone Could Soon Compete With Fortnite On Mobile

Activision took a deep step into the battle royale genre when it launched Call of Duty: Warzone, and the game was met with a hell of a lot more success than the last COD battle royal saw. Within weeks the number of players skyrocketed, and Warzone was competing with games like Fortnite, PUBG, and even Apex Legends. Warzone is lacking one big thing, though, and that’s a port for mobile devices, but all of that could change very soon, and we now have proof that Activision is – at the very least – taking the idea into consideration. A new job listing that has since been removed, appeared on Activision’s website. The job listing said it was looking for someone to work on “WZM” – which is easy to assume is an abbreviation for Warzone Mobile – who would “harvest, adapt, and deliver the essential features from Warzone console and PC into their best mobile instantiation.” This person would also “serve as the primary point of contact on Warzone...

New Price Leak Paints The PS5 As The More Expensive Console

Now that Microsoft has announced pricing for the Xbox Series X and digital-only Xbox Series S, the world is waiting for Sony’s answer. From the look of things, you might want to prepare for disappointment as a new leak paints the Sony PS5 as the more expensive console, and considerably so at that. According to the leaked image posted on Twitter (shown below) the PS5 will be priced at €499.90, which comes to $594 or £460 at current exchange rates. The PS5 digital edition is listed at €399.90, which converts to $475 or £369. #PS5€399/€499(El Corte Inglés ~ One of the biggest spanish retailers) pic.twitter.com/B6o3aJhAqG— AllGamesDelta (@AllGamesDelta_) September 13, 2020 If these prices are, in fact, accurate, that means you’ll have to pony up an extra $100 for the more powerful PS5 or $176 of the digital-only PS5 – something that would give the Series X quite the edge. Of course, when you look at sales history between the two companies, this price difference probably won’t...

(9-13-2020 - we've updated this guide to cover everything that's happened over the last 8 months in Diablo 4's developement, so be sure to check out what's changed below!) Diablo 4 Release Date

Xbox Series S vs. Xbox Series X – Making the Right Choice

Following a leak, Microsoft finally confirmed the existence of the Xbox Series S and its price point of just $299. Just days after that happened, we learned that the smaller SSD (1TB in the Series X vs. 512GB in the Series S) is what makes a $299 next-gen console possible. With that in mind, however, there’s a lot more that sets the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S apart, so let’s take a deep look into the specifications and why you should go with one console over the other. Xbox Series S – Dulled Down For the Sake of Affordability The Xbox Series S is still more powerful than even the Xbox One X and the PlayStation 5 as we know it now. However, its hardware is no match for the Xbox Series X. As you already know, the 512 GB SSD is said to be the biggest factor behind the $200 price difference between the two consoles, but the Series...

Xbox Series S Hard Drive Has a Smaller Hard Drive For Affordability

Microsoft confirming the Xbox Series S and a price tag of $299 might have been a damaging blow to the PlayStation 5, at least in terms of players still on the fence about what console to go for this holiday season. That smaller console with a significantly smaller price tag ($299 vs. $499), however, means you have to trade off built-in storage space, the high-end GPU, and just a bit of system memory. That 512 GB hard drive was probably the biggest blow, given the size of games for current-gen systems, but now we know why – according to Microsoft, reducing the size of the HD was the primary factor in shaving cost. This confirmation comes via a leaked Xbox press briefing, where Liz Hamren – Head of Platform Engineering and Hardware – went into depth on the subject: “When we move to SSD technology we get much, much higher performance, but of course that performance comes at a higher cost. Of course, more storage is...

Rockstar Hints At GTA 6 Once Again – Kind Of

Once again, the official Rockstar Support account on Twitter is answering questions about Grand Theft Auto 6. Well, it’s not exactly answering them, but it’s at least acknowledging them – directing fans of the yet-to-be-confirmed game to Rockstar Newswire for official updates. Of course, these replies, which were scattered across the last week, also confirmed that Rockstar has “not released any information” about GTA 6. There is no news on that topic yet. Please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official updates: https://t.co/i1zkZw0nsH *KG— Rockstar Support (@RockstarSupport) September 7, 2020 Following Rockstar’s renewing of both GTA 6 and Vice City Online domain names, it’s not surprising that Rockstar Supports new attentiveness to GTA 6 would spark new rumors. The same thing happened when Rockstar introduced a new logo and when GTAVI.com was updated to no-longer point to the official GTA 5 website. Just a few weeks after the the website situation sparked rumors, a report suggested that GTA 6 was actually in development but...

This is the same launch and pre-order dates given for those of you in the United Kingdom, so it should be the same for all of Europe as well. Xbox Series X Pricing In the United States, the Xbox Series X has an MSRP of $499 while those of you in the U.K. will have to pay £449. Pricing outside of these two markets, however, will vary as will the launch date in some areas. The smaller, entry-level Xbox Series...

No, Cyberpunk 2077 Won’t Kill You With Microtransactions

Following tons of drama surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 and the possibility of microtransactions, CD Projekt Red has stepped up to the plate to clarify that they won’t be a part of Cyberpunk 2077. To our understanding, there won’t be microtransactions of any kind in Cyberpunk 2077 and, while the stand-alone multiplayer game that is set to launch sometime in 2022 will have microtransactions, they won’t be overly pushy or required to enjoy the game in any way.   In a recent financial earnings call, CD Projekt boss, Adam Kicinski was very clear about how the company was going to go about microtransactions, stating that the company wants to encourage players to spend money without forcing needless in-game purchases. “Well, we are never aggressive towards our fans. We treat them fair and we're friendly. So of course not, we won't be aggressive. But you can expect great things to be bought. The goal is to design the monetisation in a way that makes people happy spending money. And...

Microsoft Has Confirmed The Compact Xbox Series S

Following in quick succession after a rather enticing leak, Microsoft hasn’t only confirmed that the Xbox Series S exists but also that it’ll have a retail price of just $299 in the United States, €299.99 in Europe, and £249.99 in the U.K. As you can see from the image above, the Xbox Series S looks very similar to the current Xbox One S, including the single USB port and the “X” power button. The image also confirms that it can sit either vertically or horizontally as you’d expect. Apparently, the Xbox Series S is so small that you can fit it inside the new Xbox Series X. Obviously, the Series S doesn’t have a disc drive, but will it be as “next-gen capable” as the larger Xbox Series X? What Makes the Xbox Series S Different From the Series X? https://www.facebook.com/xbox/photos/a.91876221022/10158450524706023/ Outside of the obvious difference in size, the Xbox Series S is the entry-level next-gen Xbox. It...

PS5 Pre-Orders Could Start This Week, But Don’t Count On It

Less than two weeks ago, Sony launched a dedicated PS5 pre-order registration page, which wasn’t for pre-ordering but to put your name into a pool to be considered worthy of pre-ordering the PS5 and a limited number of each accessory. Now, a new rumor suggests that pre-orders could open as soon as September 9th, 2020, but is there any truth to the rumor or is it just vaporware? The rumor that the PS5 will move into pre-order status on September 9th comes courtest of @IronManPS5 on Twitter. And, that’s part of the reason why this rumor isn’t all that believable. He has accurately leaked (or predicted) some things in the past, but he’s also made a fair number of mistakes as well. With the pro-order opening date being just two days away from now, you’d think Sony would have confirmed the date, but there’s still zero confirmation from Sony or PlayStation. Preorders for PlayStation 5 begin on September 9 #PS5 pic.twitter.com/IWPutljpKV— Tony Stark (@IronManPS5) August 24,...
