First, let’s talk about Microsofts Smart Delivery’s big names: Cyberpunk 2077, Geras 5, and Halo Infinite. This program will allow players to buy the games on Xbox One and receive them for free on Xbox Series X after they upgrade. The news was confirmed by Samuel Bateman. Microsft’s Marketing Lead confirmed via a twitter post. another post, this time by Phil Spencer, the Xbox boss explaining the process of Smart Delivery. Cyberpunk 2077 was the first to announce this capability.
It looks like Microsoft it’s doing it’s best to keep the console family connected. This will also come as a bonus for players that will be able to buy the game once and enjoy it on different consoles. I don’t know about you, but the idea of having a single account with multiple games and being able to use it on various devices sounds like a good solution to me.
After you buy the game, you won’t have to upgrade right after. The Smart Delivery support will allow players to take their time while purchasing another console. This option is also available for third-party developers, which means that more games could be available, should other game developers jump on teh bandwagon. So far the list of confimred Smart Deliver games – aka games you only have to buy once – include:
- Halo Infinite
- Gears 5
- Cyberpunk 2077
With that said, we’ve also finally learned about what kind of specs the Xbox Series X is offering and we’ve learned all about the proprietary external storage soltuion built into the Xbox Series X.
