A new announcement from 2K Games signals the arrival of BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands: Legendary Collection, and XCOM2 Collection to the Nintendo Switch. The best part is that we won’t have to wait very long, as all three collections are set to be released on May 29, 2020 – just two months from now. Home isolation or not, Spring 2020 just got a little bit better.
Bioshock: The Collection on Nintendo Switch
When BioShock: The Collection lands on Nintendo Switch, it’ll be a re-release of the trilogy that came to PC, PS4, and Xbox One back in 2017. This trilogy includes the original BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite. With all three games, we’ll also receive every single paid DLC that was ever released.
Borderlands Legendary Collection on Nintendo Switch
While BioShock comes to Switch as a re-release, Borderlands Legendary Collection is an all-new buddle that was created specifically for the Nintendo Switch. It comes with the original Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. As is the case with the BioShock collection, all DLCs and add-ons previously released for this trilogy will also be included. The only question now is whether or not these games are simply remastered versions of the games from Borderlands: The Handsome Collection that released for PC and Consoles back in 2015, or if each is a port designed exclusively for the switch. We’ll have to wait to find out the answer to that.
XCOM 2 on Nintendo Switch
The XCOM 2 Collection coming to Nintendo Switch is a carbon copy of XCOM GOTY Edition that as released a few years back. It contains the base game, the War of the Chosen expansion, and four other DLC packs. It’s obviously coming in as the lesser of the three in terms of value unless you’re really an XCOM fan, but hey, it’s still great that it’s coming to Switch.
