Sony is Relying On Nostalgia for the PS5’s Initial Success, and That’s Very Dangerous

Let’s be frank – Sony’s transparency behind the PlayStation 5 is, well, lacking – and that’s if we’re being nice. Compared to Microsoft, Sony is far behind. We’ve yet to see any gameplay, what the console looks like, or anything else really, outside of the new DualSense controller and specs. Needless to say, Microsoft has won the early game with extreme transparency. Yet, somehow, Sony still exudes a lot of confidence in the PS5 – so much so that company CFO, Kiroki Totoki, has already envisioned the PlayStation 5 coming out on top of the next-gen console...

Respawn Won’t Make a New Titanfall Because Too Many People Play Apex Legends

We’ve all been begging for Respawn to launch Titanfall 3 for a long time, but what we got was Apex Legends. The game isn’t bad, really, but the company literally shelved Titanfall 3 for Apex Legends and, to a lesser extent, Star Wars: Fallen Order. Fast forward to April and it seems as if Season Five of Apex Legends might include something Titanfall, but it’s still a far cry from a new game. Now, it looks like Titanfall 3 might never happen as Respawn has confirmed that it’s not even working on it. In...

Natural Vision Evolved Takes Grand Theft Auto V Graphics to the Next Level

Grand Theft Auto V is no stranger to the modding community. In fact, there are more mods out there that you can count on your hands and toes, but there are only a few of them that really stand out. One of those is the Natural Vision mod, and it really made GTA V look amazing. Now, Razed, the developers behind that mod have released a trailer for Natural Vision Evolved, and it takes the game about as close to Photorealism as you could really expect. The trailer that you see above is one...

Epic Games Boss Says the Sony PS5’s SSD is “Way Ahead” of High-End PCs

Following the amazing display that was Epic’s Unreal Engine 5 running in real-time on the Sony PS5, we’re now hearing what Epic Games CEO (and Founder) Tim Sweeney thinks about the PlayStation 5. Shortly after Unreal Engine 5 was revealed, Sweeney sat down for an interview with IGN where he talked no only about UE5 but what his thoughts are on the PS5. Now, while he stopped short of any type of comparison between Sony’s next-gen console on the Xbox Series X, and made it clear that he believes the PS5’s SSD is well...

Latest Leaks Suggest Silent Hill’s Reveal Imminent; Resident Evil 8 to be the Most Gruesome Yet

Known Silent Hill and Resident Evil Leaker @AestheticGamer has suggested that Resident Evil 8 will be “the darkest and most gruesome RE yet” while at the same time suggesting that, while he doesn’t know anything he hasn’t shared about Silent Hill, that the game will be revealed soon. https://twitter.com/AestheticGamer1/status/1258817870764494849 For what it’s worth, Aesthetic Gamer has been pretty reliable in the past. In January, he suggested that both Silent Hills and Silent hill would be revealed this year. Then, in March, he suggested that Silent Hill would return for the...

A New Rumor Says that A Diablo 2 Remaster is Currently in Development

A French publication, Actu Gaming, has published a new report that the long-rumored Diablo 2 remaster is currently in development. The editor of the outlet is the same person that accurately gave early information about Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and Shadowlands prior to Blizzcon 2019. According to the report, Activision has tasked Vicarious Visions with handling the development of Diablo 2 Remastered. This is the same studio that did Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy back in 2017. However, this report doesn’t hold a lot of water as a while back...

Thanks to Epic, We Have Our First Real Look at What the PS5 is Capable Of

Nanite technology is something that helps artists create more advanced geometric deatil. As Epic put it:

Game Delays Will Probably Be a Common Theme in 2021

In a recent interview with Business Insider, Xbox’s Phil Spencer suggested that COVID-19’s impact on the game industry will be felt much worse in 2021 as opposed to 2020. The good news, however, is that delaying the Xbox Series X is still entirely out of the question for Microsoft. To understand why 2021 will be worse on game development than 2020, a period where just about everyone is working from home, you have to take into consideration what goes into creating a AAA video game – things like motion capture (MOCAP) and Audio composition,...

Amazon Just Released Three New Trailers for Crucible

If you don’t know what Crucible is, we can’t really blame you – we kind of forgot about it too. It’s Amazon’s first major step into shooter territory, and it’s scheduled to launch on May 20 as a free-to-play game. There doesn’t appear to be any annoying pay-to-win scheme going on, but there will surely be a battle pass or something similar. With the launch set to happen in a week, three new trailers have been launched to show off the games three play modes. Crucible – Harvester Command

Capcom Expects to Launch “Multiple Major New Titles” Before March 2021

Capcom recently published its latest quarterly financials report, and while most of it is of little importance to us, there was something very intriguing hidden away in it. That something is that “multiple major new titles” are currently in development, and there’s a good chance that they will likely launch before March 2021. So, while Capcom has been busy promoting a digital strategy in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak and trying to boost sales of games like Resident Evil 3 remake and Monster Hunter World, it’s also been putting together some new major...
